The Northwest Michigan Council of Governments is a ten county public organization that serves as an administrative agent for state and federal employment programs, provides economic development and technical assistance to regional businesses, coordinates and supports regional planning activities and serves as a regional census repository. Various federal, state and local funding sources are combined with private foundation funds to support the activities of the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments.
