The Military depends on commercial business to develop new technolgies for the protection of the War-fighter and
to advance Homeland Security. This briefing covered an overview of TARDEC and explained how companies can help
research innovative technologies that fit dual use needs of the Army and industry.

find these bid requests and how do they submit their bids? Keeping with the theme set in the first symposium on
diversification, this second in the series for manufacturers focused on procuring defense contracts. The symposium
covered how important defense contracts can be in your business diversification plan, what contracts are
available, and what assistance is available for you in applying and getting these contracts.
